1. Power—Turns set-top on or off
2. Message Indicator—Indicates a message is
waiting when blinking or illuminated
3. LED Display—Displays the selected channel
number and time of day
4. IR Sensor—Receives the infrared signal from
the remote control
5. Recording Indicator—Indicates the DVR fea-
ture is active when illuminated
6. VOL- and VOL+ —Increases or decreases
volume
7. Select—Provides access to your on-screen
selection
8. USB—High-Speed peripheral device con-
nection (Not active)
9. CH- or CH+ —Scrolls up or down through
the available channels
10. Guide—Accesses on-screen services
11. Info—Displays a description of the selected
program
12. Smart Card Slot (Not active)
13. Exit—Exits menus, the on-screen guide, and
program information
14. List—Displays the list of recorded program
1. IEEE-1394—Audio and Video device connec-
tion (Not active)
2. S-Video Out—Connect to S-Video input of
TV, DVD recorder or VCR
3. IR Port—Connects to optional VCR Com-
mander™ service
4. Digital Audio Out—Connect an RCA cable
to send a digital audio signal to a surround
sound receiver or other digital audio device
5. TV Out—Connects composite cables to the
video and L/R audio inputs of a standard-
definition TV
6. VCR Out—Connects to video and L/R audio
inputs of a VCR
7. Cable Out—Connect to cable input of TV,
DVD recorder or VCR
8. Auxiliary Input (Not active)
9. Serial Number—Located in the lower left-
corner of the bar code
10. Cable In—Connect via coax cable to wall
outlet
11. AC Switched Outlet—Connect the AC pow-
er cord from another device, such as a TV
12. AC Power Input—Connect to an AC electri-
cal outlet
